THURSDAY: Feb. 1, 1973: Success in the United States is usually synonymous (sp?) with BIG BUSINESS>. If my own economic philosophy were to be expressed in a few short words it would be: BIG BUSINESS IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL. The reasons for this will be explored throughout this journal.
Advertising is one hate.
Advertisements that are hypocritical, obnoxious, or absurd, etc. will be pursued and cut down throughout this book.
ADVERTISEMENTS THAT STINK:
1. There is now a disgusting, filthy, dirty, hypocritical, stinky, rotten, putrid, euchy, barfy, and generally horrid big oil company commercial. The background [jingle] for the ad is a moronic, inane, 🎵🎵🎵 -- clean up America -- it's your America -- and if you don't clean it up it'll be lost 🎵🎵🎵 . This comes from an oil company?
2. Briefly, the Mitchum deodorant ads -- big Jock who hasn't used his deodorant in two days. Mitchum is very similar in chemical composition to spray paint.
This list of disgusting ads [could be] continued
[ad nauseum].
